After weeks of patiently waiting... my camera finally came! And I love it!

The Trek was Amazing!

Well, I just got back from the Trek and I have to say it was on of the best experiences I have ever had. As my family and I trudged up the mountain side, I believe I felt maybe an inkling of what the pioneers felt. The women's pull was probably the hardest and it made me appreciate what the women pioneers did and what they went through.
The most spiritual part of the trek was probably before we did the river crossing. Our company had about an hour before it was our turn to cross the river so our leaders told us the story of the Sweet Water River Crossing along with some other pioneer stories. As I listened I felt the spirit so strongly and was glad I had my sunglasses on to keep my tears hidden from view.
I had the opportunity to do a lot of thinking on this trek as well, and have come to the conclusion that I deffinately would not have made a good pioneer and that there is actually a reason my Father in Heaven waited to send me down to earth at this time period. ;)

Oh my GOSH!!!

Oh my heck. This whole camera situation is driving me crazy! So apparently the company I ordered my camera from says that the Nikon S700 is a discontinued model! They could have told that to me before I ordered it or maybe not even put it on their website if it's discontinued!!!! So, instead of the lovely Nikon S700, I have to settle for the Nikon S220. Pictured above. And yes... I ordered the Magenta one. I'll just be glad when it gets here. But I got everything for a pretty good deal. They are giving me a free High Speed 2GB memory card and are including a 5 hour battery and charger for $30. This is what I get for a grand total of $195.94:

Woot! It comes Saturday!

So I finally took the initiative and called the camera company about my camera! It turns out that they didn't have that exact one in stock, but that they will and it will be in the mail on wednesday! YAY!!! I am very excited. Like I mentioned earlier, Youth Conference is this week so hopefully it won't come until saturday so that I can be here when it arrives. I can't wait!!!

Bummer.....

So despite the countdown.... my camera hasn't come yet....which I am completely bummed about. It's been awhile since I ordered it and the man said it would get here in 5-7 days...well....that 5-7 days has passed and now we're working on the 9th day. Woo Hoo! I love it when service isn't reliable!!! NOT. I am normally somewhat patient when it comes to waiting. But seeing as I am really stoked about this camera, my patience is wearing thin! But...as they say: Good things come to those who wait... I guess i'll just have to believe that and continue to wait....and wait...and wait.... But hopefully it gets here soon.....because I am becoming very impatient!
This week is my Stake Youth Conference and we're going on the famous "Trek". I'm pretty excited about it but kind of bummed at the same time. We're only going to Hardware Ranch and not all the way to Martin's Cove. Which, as all you "trekkies" probbably know, is the ultimate destination of the trek. Oh well. I'm sure the spirit will be present there and that I will come away from this experience with a greater appreciation for the pioneers and a stronger testimony of this Gospel.
